About Wapiti
Feet are our daily companion and help us to get ahead in life. Thank them with the best you can wear on your feet.

Our feet carry us over stick and stone for a lifetime. With you we overcome every success and every failure. You are our daily companion. That is why it is so important to dress them correctly for the various missions. The right choice of material is the first step. While cotton or synthetic fibres only put additional strain on the skin during sporting activities by retaining moisture, creating bacteria and creating the wrong foot climate, merino wool, as the main component of WAPITI socks, helps to regulate the foot climate correctly in heat and cold. In addition, merino wool keeps moisture away instead of absorbing it and thus protects against unpleasant sweat accumulation and bacteria formation, which can have serious consequences for the health of the feet.

Used materials

Merino wool
Merino wool is a very fine, soft and extremely elastic sheep's wool with excellent heat regulation, which provides the perfect foot climate. It protects against cold and cools when it is hot. The natural structure of the wool fiber creates hollow spaces, the skin can breathe and excess moisture is transported away from the skin through the fiber to the outside. Our merino wool is specially refined and meets the highest requirements for a natural ecological fiber from responsible sources. For sensitive people we can only recommend our merino wool.

Ceramic fiber
Thanks to their structure, ceramic fibers ensure that the temperature inside the shoe is automatically regulated by up to +/-5°C in extreme conditions, i.e. warming in cold and cooling in hot weather. In addition, the fibers have an antibacterial effect and thus ensure a pleasant foot climate.

Silk
Silk is extracted from the cocoons of the silkworm and is the only textile continuous fiber found in nature. It is especially characterized by its high strength. Silk is skin-friendly and has an insulating effect against external influences.

Cashmere
Cashmere wool is a very soft fiber, which is obtained from the undercoat of the cashmere goat. Cashmere is one of the most valuable natural fibers with extremely good heat regulation at low weight. Its structure makes it a special skin flatterer.
