Giro
Giro Helmets for Winter Sports
Giro is an American brand that has made a name for itself since its founding in California in 1985 for helmets, goggles, and accessories that seamlessly blend style and protection. In winter sports, Giro is known for its helmets that stand out not only for their clean design but also for their innovative safety technologies.
Key Features of Giro Helmets:
In-Mold Construction: Most Giro helmets use the lightweight and robust In-Mold construction, where the polycarbonate outer shell is fused directly with the EPS foam inner shell. This reduces weight while increasing strength, providing optimal protection during an impact.
MIPS Technology: Many Giro models, such as the Jackson MIPS or the Neo MIPS, are equipped with the Multi-directional Impact Protection System. An additional low-friction layer inside the helmet reduces the rotational forces that can be transmitted to the brain during an oblique impact, offering a crucial safety advantage.
Thermostat Control™ Ventilation: Giro helmets feature adjustable ventilation systems like the Thermostat Control™ technology. A simple slider allows you to regulate the airflow to control the temperature inside the helmet and prevent goggle fogging.
Seamless Compatibility: Giro places great importance on the harmonious interaction of its products. The helmets are designed to ensure a perfect fit with Giro goggles. This prevents gaps between the helmet and goggles, providing improved ventilation and increasing comfort.
Giro helmets are the perfect choice for winter sports enthusiasts who are looking for first-class protection, advanced technology, and a timeless design that combines functionality and style.
