Lib Tech
Lib Tech
Lib Tech is an American cult brand for snowboards, skis, and surfboards, regarded as a pioneer and maverick since the late '80s. Founded by Mike Olson and Pete Saari, Lib Tech is known for its unconventional technologies, artistic design, and eco-friendly production. Each product is handmade in the legendary "Mervin Made" factory in Washington, USA, embodying the philosophy of constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Key Features of Lib Tech Snowboards:
Magne-Traction® Technology: This is Lib Tech's revolutionary technology that dramatically improves edge hold on snow and ice. The wavy, serrated edges of Magne-Traction® act like a serrated knife blade, providing additional contact points along the edge, which allows for unparalleled control and stability in hard conditions.
C2X Hybrid Rocker/Camber: Lib Tech has found the perfect balance between rocker and camber. The C2X profile combines an aggressive camber underfoot for power and precision with a mild rocker between the bindings for float in powder and a playful feel.
Eco-Friendly Manufacturing: Lib Tech places great emphasis on sustainability. They use environmentally friendly materials like Bio-Beans topsheets, recycled sidewalls, and FSC-certified wood cores. The entire production process takes place in the world's most environmentally friendly snowboard factory, which is powered by recycled energy.
Original Power Construction (OP): This construction, used in many models, consists of a lightweight wood core and fiberglass laminates. It offers a dynamic, durable, and lightweight performance that is ideal for freestyle and all-mountain riders.
Lib Tech stands for performance based on its own innovation and a spirit that refuses to conform to norms. The brand is the perfect choice for snowboarders seeking a unique and distinctive riding experience.
